I have a 1978 SA. Has anyone replaced their brake lines while the engine is still in the car ? It looks like there may be enough wiggle room to do it , except maybe the front stabilizer bar may be in the way .
Yes on a 79..
suggest not getting stainless. Much easier.
i will try to find posts but was very happy with sponsor vendor and matched oem well. Even the hose cover in right place

I'll second the warning of being wary of stainless lines... Hard (not impossible) to get sealed. Steel or Ni-cop will outlast you anyway.
There's one line clamp bolt on the drivers side back near the kick-up that can be awkward to get at... but doable

I've replaced every brake line and connector block on my car. Engine in and body on. No issues whatsoever.
I wouldn't even consider stainless lines. I do run braided stainless flex line's however.
