Default 72 LT1 carb rebuild

Having carburetor problems on my new to me 72 LT1. It is a super original car with the original Holley 4150. While I have rebuilt carburetors before and Im sure I could do this one.
However I would like to send this carb to someone that really knows these carbs and really knows what they are doing. I must have the original carb returned. Not just a bunch of cores put together.
It would also be super if the rebuilt carb could be tested and verified before shipping back.

Any recommendations on a carburetor rebuilder?

Write to Lars directly as he does not do private messages. In his service information sheet he sent me a few years ago in it he said he works on Holley 4150. IMO, I would not send it to anyone else .

+1 for Lars. He has my carb right now. After speaking with him, 100% confident.

You will not find anyone more qualified than Lars. His attention to details is well known, and if you read the Forum it will become evident immediately. I always tell people, that having Lars refurbish my Quad was the best money that I ever spoon my 73 convertible. The mechanic that installed my original intake manifold / Quad from Lars was impressed. He let me know that Lars restoration of my carb, that included the documentation from running the carb on his test engine, was the best he had seen.

So I did chose one of the recommended sources above. The carb is on the way for total refurbishment. Once I get it back I will share my findings.

I'm confident that any of the recommended professionals would have done a great job with the carburetor, but I ultimately decided to send it to Phil Cancilla at Custom Rebuilt Carburetors. Phil impressed me with his extensive knowledge and was more than happy to answer all of my questions, which made the entire process smooth and reassuring.

When I received the carb back, it looked absolutely flawless—practically brand new. In fact, it was more like a work of art. One particularly impressive detail is that this carb had some play in the throttle shaft, but as part of his rebuild process, Phil line-bored and bushings the throttle shaft, completely resolving the issue.

I installed the carb today, and overall, it's running great. No more flooding or backfiring like before. There’s still a little fine-tuning to be done—it's a bit rough on cold starts, but I’m confident I can dial it in.

Overall, I’m very happy with both the carburetor and the service I received. Highly recommend!

So, you sent him your carburetor Nov 6 (or later) and you have it back. I would call that great turnaround!

Shipped the carb to Custom Rebuilt Carbs on 11/7 and Phil received it on 11/12. The carb was refurbished and shipped back on 12/3 and I received it a couple of days later.
