Custom Wheels on '72
Found this on Corvettefaq.com. This guy has the Centerline 806 wheels, 9.5 x 17 with 5" backspacing.......
"They have a 5" backspacing and, of course, the 5x4.75" bolt pattern. I have Firestone SZ50 EP 285/40/ZR17s in all four corners which give an overall diameter of 26", an overall width of 11.5" and a tread width of 9.8". With these tires, the wheels fill the wheel well completely but do not stick out from the body in front or in the rear. " 1981 Vette
Question, could this possibly work on my '72, would love to go this route becasue the wheels look great, and the size fills everything out better than 17 x 8. Possible??
