Default Magnetic alignment gauge

Anybody here used the magnetic gauge digital for setting toe end or anything else as far as that goes, although I do some cheap bubble ones for $10,or digital for $50 just curious if they helped any.

I have one that's used to set caster and camber, and it works great, but you can't use it to set toe.

This is the type I have.....pic just grabbed from the web:

i used a digital angle gauge and put it on the brake disc (with the wheels on) and got it in the ball park after rebuilding a lot of my suspension. Obviously you need to have the car on the ground to do it properly.
It worked +/- 0.5 degrees.

You'll have to use something else to set toe

Have you read @cagotzmann's DIY alignment thread?

Pretty sure the only digits you can use to set toe are your fingers. There are plates that can attach to the wheel to get a more precise measurement.
These ones have magnets for the tape measure These ones have magnets for the tape measure
. Or you could use a
(digital) laser "tape" measure (digital) laser "tape" measure

I use an inexpensive pair of toe plates for setting the toe on all my cars and found them to be accurate and repeatable. Keep in mind you have to use a bit of trigonometry to calculate the toe based your particular wheel size.
