So I just order a Flowmaster Force II crossmember back exhaust. Before I get it installed I was thinking of putting new headers on. It has headers currently but they look old and thinking of getting these from speedway. Anyone ever got these? Any feedback is always appreciated. For the price seems like a good deal for the price. Going from side pipes to this set up. See below for reference of car and pipes I’m looking at.
For the price they are pretty useless. Very difficult plug wire clearance. These are NOT long tube headers. You would be no better off than factory manifolds.
Why not look for proper headers? Or 2 1/2 inch manifolds.

100%….
They might look a little sporty but not worth it at all. I don’t want to waist your cash so get a better performing header. Then if it's not an option from the seller send them to be ceramic coated inside and out. That’s a good way to reduce under hood heat also.
I agree with the above posters that the shorty style headers are not worth the trouble. Long tube headers are tougher to install on newer Corvettes with all the restrictions under the hood but they make hp. The ceramic coating does help with the under the hood heat levels which helps makes the car more fun to drive and use.
A good place to spend your hard earned money would be on a High flowing catalytic converter as that actually helps the engine flow more. I used a Chambered Exhaust and it sounds awesome in a Cat-back installation. After upgrading the catalytic converter and the exhaust on my C4 I was able to break into the 30 mpg range.
There are many ways to make power using small tricks that all add up to a significant difference. It might be easier to drop in a Higher Rear End Ratio if you want the seat of the pants acceleration. Unfortunately it makes for a thirsty engine and fewer MPG.
A good strong ignition system helps burn the gas more effectively but a bad or incorrect Ignition/timing curve can waste power or make your engine ping like crazy. Companies like D.U.I. make really nice distributors but more importantly they use a proven ignition/timing curve that can make power. I installed a Air/Fuel ratio meter inside the C3 to allow me to know what is happening with my engine and it's carburetor. It helped get the fuel system jetted for more power when I used carburetors. Today I have a Holley EFI system on my 427. I might loose a few hp switching from a carburetor to EFI but I have still have enough to do the job.
Depends on what you want.
if you’re looking for more power, I agree with everyone else, don’t get shortys, get mid length or long tube.
An exhaust shop can fab the needed pieces to connect a mid or long tube to the exhaust kit you ordered
Thank you for the feedback. Car already has the shorty style headers. My concern with the long headers is ground clearance. Since the car is already lowered. Any recommendations?
There are so many options for long tube headers. But once again concern over ground clearance. I know doug headers are good but pricey. Some other are cheaper. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

my front is lowered one inch, so I used summit racing brand ceramic coated MID length headers. Yes the exhaust is still the lowest part of the car, but I don’t have any issues driving

I think my car is lowered more than one inch in the front. I think a least 2-3 inch drop. How much ground clearance do you have from the header to the ground?

also is your car an automatic or 4 speed? The summit brand mids that I found say they don’t work with 4 speeds due to the clutch

auto, I’m surprised they don’t make one for manuals. That’s a bummer.
but for my setup, the exhaust is about 1.5 inches lower than the bottom of the oil pan(2.5 inch pipes the bottom of the pan is about middle of the pipe)
