I need your advice. I just bought my 1980 back. Still only 33000 miles. I used to autocross back in the 80's. What is the best tire and wheel combo these days for autocross? Back then I used Goodyear S compound radials:245/60-15 at 43 psi front and 38 psi rear. Won every race I entered in 1984. I need to know the hot set up these days. Still has stock wheels but I am willing to get new, wider ones.
Also, what is the best choice for drag slicks? The car is still beautiful, but performance matters more to me than looks. Just discovered this forum a few days ago. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Welcome, can't help you with the tires much, I use Drag Radials for Drag racing and street use Nitto' 275/50/15s. For Autocross I haven't a clue... sorry.
Drag slicks, MTs and ET Streets are good, but not on the street..
