I bought a Snap-On Multi Scan diagnostic machine for ALCL (OBD1https://photos.app.goo.gl/Mqf5ojqtcKQkiJ9w6) cars from 1982-1986
I got it connected to the car today & it works but I don’t know what the paramaters are or what they should be. Has anyone ever used one of these?
it’s the same as the diag machine by MPSI.

The Chevrolet factory shop manual should have details on diagnostics allowing you to determine what functions on that device will work.
I have found these useful for checking for things that are reading within what I would expect like the coolant sensor, map, and o2 sensor. You can use it to read codes if you don't like counting flashes. You don't really need one of these things to do these things but saves a lot of time.
Where these come in handy is when you understand the system well, things like the crossover counts, integrator, and BLM will give you an idea how well the system is working. Unfortunately, the shop manual does not go into enough detail here. I'd suggest getting a used copy of Ben Watson's book "How to Tune & Modify Chevrolet Fuel Injection".
