I was not aware that you could even fracture a water pump. I would love to see pictures of the part.
Using a Serpentine belt got rid of the issues with belts making noises on my L71. The old brackets and pulleys were difficult to keep quiet when running the engine. Belt squealing is not one of my favorite sounds.
With a Serpentine belt the noises are GONE and I don't have to constantly check the power steering belt for tension and adjust it often.
I don’t get it as well. It’s at the shop I asked him for a picture will post when I get it but he seems to think it’s related vibration ? Has anyone have ideas

Who has been installing the water pumps, you or a shop?
How soon after install do they fail?
You didn't feel some vibration after the 2 pumps were installed?
The pump is connected to those items listed by a belt which flexes, so hard to believe the only symptom would be the pump.
no leaking of oil. Idling poorly at times, but I thought it was due to possible water in fuel cause I saw some in tank.
Just decent acceleration the first time then clunk noise then antifreeze. Second time poor idling reving up moderately clunk noise again and antifreeze on the ground with same result. Heavy duty water pumps installed

So you have no idea on what manufacturer or part number of these "heavy duty" water pumps?
No pictures of what is actually breaking on the pump?
You have used this shop for a long time or only for the water pumps?
If your “mechanic” thinks it’s vibration related, you’ve got far more serious issues. If the engine is shaking that bad, your fillings would be falling out of your teeth.

I'm not sure what's going on, but two things look concerning to me: #1, that doesn't appear like a fresh crack - looks kinda rusty, as does the rest of the pump; #2, the fan mounting shaft looks like it's extended pretty far from the nose of the pump (might just be my mistake or angle of the pic).
If the pump was rebuilt by someone who didn't know how to support the nose to press out and in the bearings, I could see that sort of fracture in the casting.
Where is your mechanic sourcing these pumps? I think you'd be better served by getting one yourself from a reputable source.
