Default 1968 with Wilwoods and Torq Thrust wheels

I have a 1968 427 Corvette that I run at the CMI track in Tamworth NH almost every weekend. I drive to and from the track but don’t use the car on the street much at all besides that. I presently run Wilwood brakes, rotor part #140-11727D and calipers part #140-11857R on the fronts. I need new front rotors and would like to change/increase the size. Wilwood offers a Narrow Superlite 6R Big Brake Front Brake kit #140-10616-R. The #140-10616-R kit includes front rotors, 6 piston calipers and pads. The #140-10616-R requires a minimum 17” wheel and is listed for a 1968 Corvette. I fit both of those requirements but need help in determining if they will fit inside my Torq Thrust wheels before making the purchase. Wilwood provides a fitment cross section diagram in their website. I am asking for help in determining if the Wilwoods will fit with my American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. I am running American Racing Torq-Thrust Classic II 18x8, 5x4.75, 4.5” backspace, 0 mm offset, 83.06 mm hub bore and .25 spacer. I believe the part # for the wheels is VN2158861. I’m only making the change to the fronts and will most likely be adding a proportioning valve.

Please advise as to whether this new rotor and caliper will fit within my front wheels. In addition, what do you recommend for a proportioning valve?

Thank you for your technical support.

Do you have Wilwoods master cylinder. Their valve bolts right onto it. Otherwise Summit brand is fine.

Thanks for the reply. If you're referring to the proportioning valve I think that should be fairly easy to set up. I'll probably use one of the proportioning valves Wilwood offers. - Dave

Yea, the wilwood bolts right up to THEIR master cylinder.
.
But I'm thinking the six piston needs a 18" wheel to have proper clearance ,, but each wheel brand is different enough that you will actually need to test fit yours.

I have an 18" wheel. They call for a minimum 17". Just concerned because the actual design of the back of the wheel could make it tight... or not. I wish I could find someone on the Forum that has tried it with ARE Torq-Thrusts. If I knew for sure I'd have the order placed. - Dave

....

I realize this is not a vette, but I recently installed the 6 pistons on this classic build with C5 spindles, and remembered the wheels. Ill try to find what back space, ( or off set ) these wheels had when I return to the USA. But thought I'd share,,,, it can work... 🤔

Thanks for the additional help. What size wheels are you showing? - Dave

Those are 18" . On that setup w/6-piston 17" didn't work.
