Default U-Joint help for 1982 Corvette CE

Hey guys!

I need help finding the correct U-Joints for my CE's driveshaft. Everywhere I look they (Auto Zone/Advance Auto) show the dimensions 3.625" from end of cap to end of cap. But mine are smaller, like 3 1/4" end to end. What's the deal? Is this an odd duck that nobody has this size?

Thanks for your help in advance... A part number would be great if anyone knows of one.

This should help.
Some driveshafts have 1310s. Sounds like yours does.
Make sure you check both ends.
Solid Spicers, no grease fittings, are way stronger than all others.

Awesome! You're absolutely correct based on the size I have. At least I know what to look for now.

Thanks so much for your help!

You can find these from Vansteel Corvette in Florida. I ordered all my suspension from them.

I purchased from Rockauto, used Moog. Ordered the incorrect ones first. The drive shaft U Joints are smaller than the half shafts, I replaced them also.

Moog 254 (1.06 in bearing cap diameter) is the drive shaft - need 2
Moog 231 (1.188 in bearing cap diameter) is the half shafts - need 4
You may want to check the condition of the ubolts, etc. Also on the half shafts there is a thin metal piece that prevents the bolts from backing out on the wheel side. Rock auto has all of these.
This was for my 78 Pace Car. I would assume yours would be the same, but best to check.
