LARS- Just a nice guy
I had my 69 carb rebuilt by LARS. Dealing with Lars was a pleasure. He kept me informed at every step, identified all the problems the carb had, and told me how to set the car up to avoid the problems in the future. I must have gotten 5 or 6 emails in the 3-day period that it took to rebuild the carb. His customer service was reminiscent of dealing with businesses in the 1970's, where the customer was first- a welcome change from dealing with businesses now.
I don't know how the carb will run. We have had nasty weather since I got the carb back, so I only got the car out once for about 10 miles the car seems to be way more responsive at low RPMs. That being said, it certainly was a pleasure.

We all appreciate and respect Lar's for his extensive knowledge about our Corvettes in general. His carburetor experience is beyond that of many modern mechanics and we need that here on the Corvette Forum to keep the Quadra jets working like they are supposed to! He has helped a lot of people here on the Corvette Forum with his pointers and answers to challenging questions.

Lars is a great guy that knows his stuff. And he isn't a one trick pony either he does Holley carbs too.
He had great tragedy in his life the past year or so, let's keep him and his family in our prayers. Thanks Lars for being a stand up guy.

Completely agree! Lars rebuilt my carburetor last month. Finally got a chance to put it on the car and crank it up. Wow! Didn't have to even touch any adjustments! Communication was seamless and complete. Very pleased with the entire process. Plus, He's quite reasonable.

He charged me $4700.00 up front for parts to build my heavy duty rear differential.
He took my money and gave me nothing in return and I was only one of many he ripped off.
Hopefully he is rotting away slowly and painfully in a prison cell.

Lars is one of the best carb, tune up, and all-around classic car guys out there. In addition, he is a good person. Times are not always good in life, but we go on the best we can.
While we have never met in person, I consider him a friend and one I have known for 20+ years.

I think it's in bad taste to criticize someone when we are trying to show appreciation to someone that has done so much for others on this forum and his family.
