Back in the 90's people were talking about this. The aftermarket window seals are not shaped correctly nor are the holes in the correct places.
In answer to your question, has anybody else experienced this?
Yes! For over 30 years now!
This happened to me on my 73. I used a Dremel with a small bit to drill new holes that would match the restoration wipes. This job requires that you go slow and be aware that letting the drill go deep can PIERCE the outside of your door. Like others have said, the restoration parts don’t always fit, and it seems that every Corvette Seller buys their parts from the same Chinese Manufacturer.

Thanks to you all for the advice.
Got it done. I first opened up the holes in the SS trim so the strips could move around and little bit. I squeezed the snaps horizontally and opened up the slits as well. After all that I just needed to open one hole in the door, closest to the rear kick up, just a tiny bit. Not as tight looking as the originals but it will have to do.

I bought Bairs and Corvette Central. Each looked a little different but both were off. I kept Bairs only because I started working them first as far as looks, neither is exactly like my original. I’d say either is fine knowing you need to do a little rework.
