You'll want to be careful about your tire selection and whether your decision will have some longevity as sources dry up or change their construction. One of the functional aspects of tires is something called the "slip angle". Basically it is what angle the tire needs to maintain a given lateral force over and above the turning radius. I can't say for sure what that might do for handling but if the tire forces aren't pretty evenly matched you might have some unwanted behavior at the limits.

There are surely better technical sources than me, but if you are doing any performance driving, with the little I know, I would do some research.

Valid comment - the 285/40/18 I use on the rear-end was originally selected due to being one of the supercharged Jaguar fitments........and oddly the rear rear-end fitment for my buddies previous model Shelby Mustang. He sources USA market Nitto's via a UK tyre dealer. But irrespectively the available brand choices (since I first selected that size) are 'drying-up'.
