Default Strut rod interchange

Are the 75 and up strut rods a direct bolt in for 72 and earlier or does the hardware need to be changed as well.

I ordered some aftermarket adjustable powder-coated strut rods that came with hardware & rubber bushings (ebay) but when looking at the corvette central website it seems you have a choice---- you probably want to see what you have on there before buying.

The larger rod ends of the 75-79 will work in the earlier cars but you have to check and probably clearance the radius on the inside of the support legs so there is no binding in extreme travel.

Thanks that's what I was wondering.I picked up a pair 75 and up chrome ones with new rubber bushings at a swap meet so figured it would save the trouble of redoing mine.

I had to radius the legs opening a little bit with my 69 supports when I installed the 1.375" head rods.
