My ‘71 tail lamp sockets were pretty roached, so I removed them by bending the folded over tab/lips inwards and pulling them out of the back. Does anyone know if these factory style sockets are being sold anywhere? I’m also installing a new rear harness, and do not want to cut into it, or I’d just go with one of the pigtail options out there. Secondly, has anyone done this? Curious as to how to get the new one’s in and that lip folded back over nice and tight. Thanks!
I have not seen any vendor selling just that part of the light housing . I just replaced , on my 69 , the two outer light housings with the ones shown in your two pictures . That`s the only way to do it .

Thanks Steven! I may have to go the (screwed on or riveted on) pigtail route as others have. The complete housings being around $75 each, or $300 for all 4. I'm cheap, so that part is in play as well😂.
I'll see if anyone else may have a lead for me for a bit. If not, I'll weatherpak the pigtails to the harness.
