My 1980 has a 700R4 tranny but the shifter is the stock 3 speed. Does anyone know if I can just swap out the detent or does all the linkage need to replaced. Thanks in advance for any info.
I have this as a choice to go in my 81 and have the shift detents for both the three speed and four speed auto transmissions.. I am running a 4L60E and have modified my stock shifter so it has the gear change buttons on it controlled by the HGM trans controller and have used the Shiftwork detent kit on the stock shifter.
