Thanks a bunch Norval.
Weeks ago I had asked for an opinion on spark plugs. I got alot of good suggestion from you all, but the best came from Norval who suggested an accell "shorty" plug. The only place I found around that handled them was O'Reilly and they had them in stock. Installed them tonight, man what a nice fit. For anyone who has experienced tight spark plug installs on engines with headers should try these plugs. One of the best things since sliced bread IMO.

My buddy and his dad both have to run the Accel shorty plugs (on his street rod and S10). If I recall correctly I am almost 100% sure that Advance Auto can get the plugs. Norval really knows his stuff, it is a privledge to have someone around the forum of his caliber.

Beside working great in tight spots, I think they are a darn good plug...and the last time I ordered them from Summit they were cheap :cheers:

For a big block they are #276 S S is for short and yes they work with normal plug wires. They are just about 3/8's of a inch shorter then normal plugs. That extra 3/8s just makes them fit a little better and keeps the boot that much further from the header.

Norval, aren't big and small block plugs the same I remember seeing quite a few applications on the back of the box.
And for anyone wondering who makes them for ACCELL, I did see DENSO written on the bottom of the box. FYI

I have found this information for the 276S
"NON RESISTOR, 14mm, 5/8" hex, .460" reach, tapered seat
AC45TS, AC46TS, Autolite 16, Champion BL13Y, Y12YC"
and for the 576S (Resistor version):
"RESISTOR, 14mm, 5/8" hex, .460 reach, tapered seat
AC CR45TS, R44TS, R42TSM, R43TS, Autolite 15, 25, 26, 665, 666, 725, 726, Champion RV15YC"
Apparently, they are multi-range ( SB & BB ) and you can have them with or without the radio buzzzz!
