Default Ball Joint Rivets

Hey Guys,
I cant get the Rivets, that hold the lower ball Joint in place, knocked of. Does anyone have a Trick? Used cold chisel and Air chisel so far, didnt Work. Is IT normal for them to be so hard to get Off? Maines repair Manual Just says to use a cold chisel.
Have a good one!

Die grinder, grind off till flush with the arm. Then punch out with a pin punch . Not certain how many I've removed this way. Way to many to count. Easy.

Also, I think you ment to say Haynes repair manual.
Which is Code for, junk repair manual.
Throw that in the bin! Purchase a genuine GM repair manual for your year Corvette.

So you Grind Off the outer Rivets from the lower a Arm ball Joint and Punch them in? The upper ones worked, currently struggling with the lower ones. Is there anything to do in the inside? Attatched a picture.
Heres the inside, anything to do Here or will that whole Thing get punched Out?

I could not punch mine out after grinding the heads off and drilling out the center so I came up with an easier way.

Looks like you are drilling them from the wrong side.

Drill the “head” with a small pilot bit in the center. Then get a big bit and drill until you can pop the head off with a chisel. Pro tip, use a good quality drill bit.

Will try again tomorrow. Got the heads Off on the outer Side and tried the method JT showed. Might have to drill IT as well or use my Air chisel again. Thanks for the replies

Shouldn't need to drill them at all! Grind off the head. Hammer and punch. Not rocket science. Just bull work.
if your rivet isn't coming out with a punch after head is completely removed. You clearly are not hitting it hard enough.
PRO TIP. Absolutely no drill needed!
