1974 L48 auto-After removing the differential, it was clear the trailing arm bushings in the frame pockets are beyond shot. Since I have to pull the TA's, I was thinking of going with offset TA's and a shortened composite leaf spring. My goal is to put 295/50R15's on the rear with a 4.5" backspace and to add a sway bar. Thoughts please.

If you’re going through all the trouble to get the offset trailing arms, why not get the coilovers that go with them too? For the cost of a shortened composite leaf spring they might be a wash.
Offset trailing arms and coilovers. Offset 5/8 rear sway bar with plenty of room around 275/50r17s and 5” backspacing 9” wheels.
