Well here we go to the parts book. I think you are correct that you have a D-note horn (#1892162). The classic dual-tones are A-tone #1892163, F-tone #1892164. (The AIM part numbers are not showing in the service parts for either the '69 or '72 books that I have.)
Thanks Barking. So the typical two-note horns are A and F. Odd that my car has the D tone marked "A-H" which I believe is original, but who knows.
If I was to retain the current "D" note horn, any idea what would be a good match?
May just have to get a set off amazon as these factory horns sound pretty sick.

I wonder if the A-H is a manufacturer mark. I believe the "high" and "low" of a pair are identified by H or L in a circle.
My limited experience with horns is that they are typically marked with an H or L. I have a hiccup in my schedule next few days, but if I can figure out how to wire these things with a two prong connector, I'll send a video with some sound.
Update.... found this. Appears to be GM/Ford OEM type connector. Fits perfectly. The horns work. Sound really nice. Getting installed will be a bit of a challenge. But then... isn't everything on a C3 a knucklebuster?! https://a.co/d/djH2FxO

Because auto horns draw relatively high current (lotsa amps), suggest pigtails should be no smaller than 10 to 12 gage.
Although, ideally, use should be only brief & intermittent.
No idea if this link will work. But if it does this is how we turned out. The wire and relay all seem fine and it sounds more like a real Corvette should!

Installed the Fiamm horns described in the posts here... did it over the weekend. Had to fabricate mounts, however they are smaller than the factory horns removed so fit was not problem. One went in the original spot in front of the hood on the cross brace, the other on the lower support coming off the vacuum tank. They don't sound vintage, like my 56 Chevy which will rattle the teeth in your head, but they are plenty loud. I am please with the upgrade, although purists will disagree. I never did determine what note the original 1975 single horn was, A or D, high or low, so this seemed like a good compromise.
Thanks for the tip about the Fiamm horns at Amazon. They were cheap and made in the USA.... should outlive me.
