I've looked at the one on my 69. It is not attached to the radiator. I think it's just held on by six bolts. Google removal. Mine is a bit rusty due to a leaking radiator decades ago and I plan to replace it.
The radiator isn’t directly mounted to the crossmember, the radiator support/frame is, along with bumper supports that are connected to the middle bumper brace as well as the bumper guards.
When I replaced mine, it was really rusty and I found the rad frame to be totally rotten where is sits on the crossmember and needed to be replace as well.
