Default Tom's Differentials closing

FYI,
As many already know, Tom's is closing at the end of the year. 50 year run of the best 63-82 vette diff, axles, and suspension parts made. Vendors bought, reboxed and sold them, some may have claimed them as their own over the years.
I knew Tom and his Family and they are good people. Honest, hard working, and it was my pleasure to be able to help them if I could.
The Corvette part inventory is now gone, I purchased it and have started to inventory it. This is not a for sale thread, I am not soliciting sales or posting parts, just letting those who may be past and present customers of the status.
I wish them well in their future endeavors.

I was his friend going back to us having Pepe do jobs on our cars! Quite the run for the family! Last time I got to talk to Tom, he shared his earliest car stories as,a teenager, a young man! Thanks

That is none of my business and something I wouldn't post about anyway.

No one better than Gary to carry on the tradition with rear diffs, 4 speeds, rear wheel bearings, and, personally for me so far, a fabulous custom rebuilt recirculating ball C3 steering box for my 78 L-82 by the one and only, Gary R!

Thank you Jeff, hope you're well and enjoying RI. I would like to get back to Block or Newport but just don't have the time.

Hey Gary,
Thanks for the information and I’m sorry to hear Tom’s is closing their doors.
Thanks to both you Gary and buying them directly from Tom’s I am fortunate enough to have many of their parts in my build.
It was always a great pleasure doing business with them.
I hope them happiness in their next venture.

I contacted them a couple years ago for a price on their 30&31 spline rear axle kit less the half shafts and they were kind enough to give me a price. wished i would have purchased it. By the way Gary the steering box you rebuilt for me has been flawless.

Thank you Pat.
Yes, you should have bought the axles at the time. The prices only went up and now no longer being made, copied yes, duplicated- no.

Hey Gary,
If you ever get bored building Corvette differentials, there is a whole market in building quality Jeep differentials, axles etc…
