Hi, I’m restoring a 68.
I have the wiper door hinge out.
I would like to add the reinforcement bracket that was added on the 69.
When the bracket was added, also a hole in the hinge was added, formed as a square.

I need to make this hole in my 1968 hinges.

If you have your hinge out of the car maybe you can help me with help with measures for the hole.
I attached a picture of the hinge and the bracket for better understanding of my question.
The red arrow points to the square hole, that I need help with.
(these measures is not shown in the AIM or in the spare parts catalog)
I have 2 damaged assemblies for my '71 that I plan to piece together to make one good complete mechanism. I'd think the dimensions would be the same as yours but I'm not 100% certain - maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Broken bracket but better visibility - be very careful, one corner of the slot is VERY close to the bracket edge & could be easily broken as shown in pic

The edges of the bracket are somewhat rounded rather than 90* angles so measurements might not be completely accurate but are the best I could do
