fuel guage no working. needle stuck past full. took a wire from sending unit and grounded it and neddle went to E. does that mean sending unit is bad?
2nd question; do i have to remove tank to get the sending unit replaced,
or is there any diff ideas?

Willcox used to have a troubleshooting guide for this. Happened to me. I just don't remember. I'll go look and see if I can find it. It had to do with the sequence of hooking it up and ensuring the leads did not touch anything as you proceeded to hook everything back up. I'll go look around.

Did you check the sending unit ground wire where it attaches to the frame?
