Default Gas tank problem

I have a 1973 Corvette, and I think the gas tank has been replaced. There seems to be a problem — some of the fuel lines are disconnected or missing, and I’m not sure what they’re for.

What’s the solution, and how can I fix this properly?

The picture of the fuel pump shows the return line has been disconnected at the pump and also at the tank.
Is there a pipe on the tank passenger side that is plugged?
On the driver's side you should have a connection to a vapor separator that connects to a pipe going to the charcoal canister in the engine compartment.
Is the charcoal canister still there?

Everything is shown in the photos — the charcoal canister is there, and it has a disconnected hose. The hose at the gas tank is also disconnected, and I couldn’t find the vapor separator.

If I connect the return line from the fuel pump to the right side of the gas tank, but without connecting it to the canister, will that work?

Yes, two different systems. You may want to check if the steel return line has an obvious leak. If the driver's side is plugged you need a vented gas cap.
