Newby needing ecm for 82 cf auto
Hello, my first post to this forum. Thanks for letting me join you! This looks to be a good site for all vette stuff! I'm in need of an ecm for my 82 cf. I heard the 84 will work and is actually better tuned. Any options?

Those ECM's are next to impossible to find. This was my solution a few years ago Here. However the Motes Autoprom setup is no longer available. Still possible by using a eprom eraser and chip burner. Or just use the the ECM as is. It just won't be optimized.
Best bet, a 4 barrel carb and a mechanical distributor. It works better than a Crossfire Injection system ever could in terms of performance, drivability, fuel economy, and reliability.

I have an untested surplus ECM. Thanks for reminding me to post it on eBay!
PM @Buccaneer . If anyone knows where to find the correct solution (that isn't a carb, or Sniper EFI, or LS Swap, or any of the other ways to get around the problem). he will know.
