My 70 has a 383 w/ a Holley carb and an aftermarket linkage set up.
The pedal end of the cable was just a nub that passed through the hole in the pedal arm w/ a plastic bushing. The plastic bushing broke and disconnected the throttle. The cable always seemed tight which may have contributed to the bushing breaking. Is there a better cable out there to use w/ our pedal that won't use the plastic bushing? I've seen the generic ones but the ends seem to be made w/ a cross bar where the hole in the pedal arm doesn't face the firewall.
Thanks. That's pretty much the set up i have now. I can try and just replace the pedal busing and maybe adjust the cable a bit to not put as much stress on the bushing. Dont feel like doing this again.
