I think you are likely to have more problems with the Dry Lube than with the White Grease over time. I have always used white lithium grease on shifter internals and linkage. These days, I would also consider one of the Synthetic Greases.

Red, thanks for the info, I didn't know PB Blaster made a teflon spray? I only used the Super Lube on it for now and it shifts fine on the bench. What problems did you have with the Hurst? thisone is a good 20 years old and it never gave me a problem, did they change thingsin the last 20 years?
