100 Amp alternator

Ok, if I move from my standard alternator to a 100 Amp version, do I need to change the voltage regulator? Seems like I would.

The new one will probably have an int regulator built in unless you specifically buy an ext reg one.

Probably have to rewire to bypass the remote reg and change alt plugs since the plugs are diff for the two.

don't know about a 69 but just had the one in my 77 rebiult with 100 amp guts and the regulator is built in. all i did was take it off, take it in and put it back on.

If its a GM alt it most likly has an internal regulator. Thats what makes them so great everything is in on package and easy to deal with. :seeya
