Corbeau GTS II Seat Install
1. Remove sliders from Corbeau brackets and test fit brackets directly to seats. I had to drill all 4 holes out with a drill press to enlarge them slightly to give enough play to mount the seats flush to the bracket.
2. Weld 4 nuts to the bottom of each front hole of the brackets. Weld a long enough bolt to the back outside corner of each bracket. Paint to protect the bare metal/welds.
3. Remove old seats.
4. Test fit brackets and ensure holes line up. Mark the section of the black plastic seatbelt cover that needs to be cut.
5. With a dremel and all purpose cutting bit, cut out the section of the plastic cover, being careful not to plunge too deep lest you hit the solid metal bracket for the seat belt.
6. Test fit again, and then clean off the plastic shards with sanding wheel attachment. Vacuum.
7. Install brackets to seats. Place seats in car.
8. Fasten the front holes from below, threading bolts into the welded nuts. I had to drill out the thread of the stock mounting holes.
9. Then fasten the rear bolts using wing nuts and washers. For the inside rear corner I got in there with the seat forward and a long ratchet extension. I used some ½” nylon spacers to sit under the the rear bracket holes as they didn’t sit flush.
