After a long talk with the wife and my heart, I have decided to keep the 80 and enjoy a beautiful car. While I would love to have a C5 I can't get past the beauty of the C3. I worked too hard to get it were it is so I am here to stay. :jester

Re: I am keeping the 80! (Xracer)
Hi all,
After a long talk with the wife and my heart, I have decided to keep the 80 and enjoy a beautiful car. While I would love to have a C5 I can't get past the beauty of the C3. I worked too hard to get it were it is so I am here to stay. Joe
Sounds a lot like my story Joe. My first wife bought me a '78 for my 25th birthday, this wife decided that I needed a 50th for my 50th. I made a deal and got a new 24x36 shop and a large sum to drop into my '80. I told her I would rather have it this way and she agreed. See my Sig for the rest of the story!

I'm in the same boat, I guess. I'd been thinking of getting a C5 someday (maybe a C6?), but my girlfriend said, outta the blue, one night, "You worked long & hard to get the '82; why trade your it, and 'X' amount of money, just to STILL have 'only' one Corvette? Keep the '82, and buy ANOTHER older Corvette!" Now, I'm thinking of getting another low-mile '80-'82 Corvette instead, 'someday'. I gotta be nucking futs  , but I really like the C3s.....
I am also nucking futs. My wife likes the 80C3 style too much to sell and I put in numerous hours for peronalized mods: ZZ4, 700 R4, Fibreglass rear spring, new interior, remote security system, separate oil cooler, SS brakes, SS Borlas, etc, etc. I kept the C3 and bought another C4 to keep my wife and myself happy. How about a 50th Anniversary? Dunno.
