Fuel Guage issue
I changed the fuel sending unit on my C3 because the gauge on the dash would not show full or empty. It just stayed around a quarter tank even when I filled the fuel tank. The gauge still reads 1/4. Did I waste time and money changing the sending unit? Is the Guage itself faulty and should I have changed that instead of changing the fuel sending unit?

If it is then the problem is not the sending unit.
then you can test the gauge depending on year.

I have the same problem on my 80. I have a bouncy needle so I replaced the sending unit. Still bouncy and won't read over a 1/2 tank. I'm going to replace the gauge soon when I get time.
