Time to bite the bullet and buy 5 sp.
I've heard nothing but good about the Tremec Silver State combo.
I want to replace M21 in my 74.
I'm running 300 rwhp, nothing serious.
What is the bottom line for the conversion?
I tried search and it is useless! WTF
Try Silver Sport Transmissions,,, not state.
they have YouTube videos and info. I put their 'perfect fit' 5spd kit in my '75 five years or more ago. Still loving it,, no issues at all. You'll be happy.
I got my kit at thr right time. I called and they had a "open box " sale at the time. 5yrs ago. I got everything, including u-joints, yoke & drive shaft, to do the swap. . Less than $4k....... Today expect at least $2k more + shipping. Possibly higher. Do the quote,, or call in person.

Do they make a conversion from automatic to manual?
Silver Sport Transmission makes two Tremec manual kits for the C3. One with a TKX 5-speed, and one with Magnum 6-speed. If you start with an automatic, they can provide the conversion kit which adds the third pedal, etc.
I'm not sure why they call out the 80-82 cars separately from the other C3s (driveshaft and trans crossmember are different), but there are the two links.
I've used Malwood clutch pedals before. I like having the slave inside, not in the eng compartment. Just a personal preference...

I think it's the driveshaft. One for the iron case and one for the aluminum case diff's. Also they warn on the 80-82 cars the exhaust Y-pipe interferes with the transmission. Recently when I ordered a TKX for my Cuda and the driveshaft is no longer part of the kit. They give you paperwork to fill out asking length of the rear u- joint center line to the transmission and rear u-joint type (1350) after the transmission installation is completed and is ordered separately.
I don't recall what the shipping cost was but to Florida it was nowhere near $2000. It was something like around $300 FedEx and will be in the quote. It's not like a engine on a pallet shipped freight.

I don't see the bellhousing or 3rd pedals in the pic.Different kit I guess. Is the Z-bar reproduced or would I have to find a used one?
I thought you have a standard shift now,, you can use your bell housing and manual Z linkage if you don't want a hydraulic clutch.
Used Z linkage easily found for sale.

Those kits listed are for existing 4 speed cars. They do have the parts for automatic to manual swap. They do not sell any mechanical linkage for the clutch. They do sell a hydraulic clutch setup.
If you want a mechanical linkage, you'll have to DIY. They make their own, very nice, bellhousing. It's the same casting, but a different finish, for Gen 1 SBC vs LS. A kit is a kit, but they will help build what you need and fill in the gaps
I bought the conversion kit for my '80 from Silver Sport and they included the stock mechanical clutch linkage as requested. They will sell you whatever you need. Nothing you don't want.
I have a hydraulic clutch on my 2010 Camaro and it sucks. No way would I ever install a hydraulic clutch on purpose. There is no advantage IMHO.
Here is my TKX order from 2021.
I have an original 4 speed car.
It breaks down every part you need.
The trans is different than less expensive "generic" ones you can find online due to the corvette specific shifter that is pre-installed.
I got no clutch, flywheel, or driveshaft.
I preferred to get those myself.
I see zero advantage to adding a hydraulic throwout system to a car that already has a terrific mechanical clutch linkage system.
