1980 Corvette - L48 - Electic Tachometer Reading Incorrectly
Thanks in advance for any assistance provided. We're encountering a new issue after replacing the Tachometer board (On the back of the Tach) as well as the Printed Circuit Board for the Tachometer and Speedometer.
Currently, when using a timing gun, the car is idling at 800-900RPM, but the tachometer is showing 5000 RPM. No matter how many times we apply 12V and "Zero" the tachometer, it does not show anywhere near the correct RPM. We've done the zeroing in the car and just using a 12V and Ground from a Battery. We have replaced the Tach Filter and tried without the Tach Filter.
Any ideas to further diagnose our issue or solve the issue would be much appreciated.
