C3 Restoration HELP
I have recently purchased a 1974 Stingray - Although the car has only 56k original miles - I have decided to do a few minor things to it -
I need help with the folowing - I am dismantling the interior in order to have it cleaned and dyed where necessary - However I am running into trouble removing the drivers side lower dash - Does anyone know of a step by step instruction they can send me over e-mail
Also, when I purchased the car the headlights worked fine - However after transport - The headlights will no longer raise - I have checked the actuators with air hoses and they will raise and lower when air pressure is put in or removed and also the "smaller actuators" under the middle of the nose - I feeol vaccum pressure at that point - Any ideas - Any trouble shooting guides?
Last - Is there a door dismantle procedure or diagram or "how to" step by step - I would like to remove the trim on the door panels - They are deluxe and have them cleaned - What is the proper way to remove all the trim -
Thank you -

Beings you are just starting it would probably be a good idea to get an assembly manual now, will pay for itself time and time again. The headlights sound like the control valves near the lights.

If you go to my website at this link you will see what has to be removed for a stereo install. The same applies to removing the lower dash pad. BTW get the assembly manual that others mentioned. It's priceless. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/vettfixr/page19.htm

:withstupid:
Vettfixr's website instructions are excellent. Also, in addition to the assembly manual, get Chevrolet Corvette 1968 Thru 1982: All V8 Models [Paperback] by Haynes

I lowered that steering column first before removing the drivers side lower dash pad and installed the new one in the reverse order.

Brad,
See you finally got your password. I do have 2 assembly manuals if you need one let me know and I'll bring it to work.
