Default Re: Are These "D-Ports"? (Corey 68)

Norval, so what single intake would you suggest to accompany these heads? I have a L-88 hood, so I have the added clearance, and I'm running the CC 294 duration and .650 lift.

Corey 68 I haven't run many combinations over the years, sure lots of cams but only 2 intakes. The stock heavily modified high rise and the Victor junior Single plane. Of the 2 I like the stock modified one better. I took the 460 to 7500 repeatably with any feeling like the intake was running out of air. I even hated to shift here the motor was pulling so hard. When I went to the single plane the motor seemed to have lost some top end charge. I have both intakes lying on the shelf and if I was putting a normal aspirated engine together I would pick the dual plane factory high rise.
Guys I don't know if mountainmotor left the forum or not but I haven't seen posts from him lately. He is far more knowledgable them I am. Sure I can make parts or tear my corvette apart in my sleep but he knew what worked.
Mountain motor are you there?
