Anyone using an aftermarket shifter that fits in the console without hacking Everything up.. I'd prefer something like the old winters shifter not that boy racer T handle big rubber job that every 16 yr old wants. This is a street strip type of deal but I don't want to hack it up too bad. Thanks and pictures if you have em.
This part is only $30-, and won't hack up the center console plate at all, but some work is required in the transmission tunnel and under the dash to make the rest of the kit fit.
I've had good luck with Lokar shifters on my LS swaps. Both cable and direct rod types. Pic of my 80 Camaro with a LS3/4L60E swap. It's the direct rod type.
