Factory Starters
A large aluminum one with offset bolts for auto trans.
A small iron one with offset bolts for large manual flywheels.
Straight bolts for small flywheels. I don't know the material or size of that one, I haven't had to deal with it yet.
There are at least two different lengths of knurled bolts for the factory starters, longer ones for the auto trans starter and shorter ones for the manual trans large flywheel starters.
These are things I've learned over the last several days while swapping a manual trans into my auto equipped '76, maybe it will help someone else so you can have all the necessary parts on hand.
I've had to stop twice so far to order the starter and the bolts.
I hadn't read this anywhere else, nor saw it mentioned in tranny conversion kits.
