It's been a while since I had a new series! Here's a bunch of shots of some of the latest mods & some shots at a recent show. I was telling the OffTopic folks how so many people here in C3 land are going nutty - Merlin is getting obsolete! I'm going to really have to get cracking if I'm going to stay ahead of you all! First, we need to remove this puny engine & go bigger. Next, those little 2300 compressors need to be replaced with the new 3300's. Oh, & those whimpy 13" rotors won't do. I need some 15" rotors with Brembo 8 piston calipers. DOES IT EVER END!!!????!!??!   http://stevenkamis.com/Cars/MyVette/...tatus=Series34
Looks absolutely amazing! Job well done Steve. You can be very proud of what you have achieved here. If you are serious about the bigger brakes, I would like to get involved in that too, can you say group purchase ;)
PS: Like I always tell people, take a year off to enjoy it, and decide what you want to do. Don't rush into changing it yet, it'll keep.
This advise is usually aimed at newlyweds who want babies right away, or people who buy their first house and want to put on an addition, but the thrill here is the same.
Steve, you are running a hydraulic roller? If yes, be carefull replacing the springs. The hydraulic stick is not ground from billet, but from std stock. If you put stiffer springs, you will snap the cam in half. I would recheck the spring pressure.....the pressure should not exceed the mfg specs. Also check for pre-ignition.
