Default Should I replace these crossmember bushings?

Still soft, but some cracks…replace or keep using? As far as I know, they are original to this 78 C3…

thanks for your input!

Leave them. No uv exposure…probably made from 70’s oil and whale gizzards compared to todays.

If you're just street driving and they are not loose, I would use them. Some of the new ones over the years had fitment issues I believe. I have the solid pucks for them as well that just bolt over the bushings to firm them up.

If you’re worried, they make aluminum dicks that can go under them to give added security. I’m sure someone here has a link.

That is what I was suggesting. It will add piece of mind. Plus the kits usually have an aluminum block for the differential nose.

Those come either with the solid snubber or without. I have all of Tom's kits here and they all have the snubber puck as well.

I have never heard of an original one of those failing. Ever.

But I have heard the replacements they sell now totally suck and do not fit right. But I never changed one so I don’t know for sure. I have taken the crossmembers out and put it back in without changing the bushings and it’s rock solid.

Just my experience.
