Hello, not new to Corvettes as I've owned my 2015 Z51 7M for 6 years now but I recently brought home a 1982 Collector's Edition car that has some problems from sitting for too long. Since I got her home, I've drained the tank, changed fuel filter, added new plugs, wires cap and rotor. I've run SeaFoam thru the tank and injectors, and I still get an inconsistent idle. It seems to rev up nicely on its own but then idles down to nearly choked off but then the computer adds fuel back to higher rev point then it repeats the process. When I picked up the car it would idle under power, but when you tried to rev it up it would choke out and die. I'm thinking of adjusting the idle a little higher to try to avoid the near dying problem thus stopping the surging that I get currently.
I'm hoping that someone has experienced something like this with the '82 Cross Fire Injection engines and might be able to offer other ideas. Thanks for the read!
