Hey GrandSport,
I am considering putting my headlights in the area where the grills and turn signals are located. Did you use a kit or is that a custom installation?

I'll give you a suggestion to use.

An early '90's Pontiac Grand Prix or a Camaro. They use the little sealed beam light set with a module to contain them. The GP are individual pods and the Camaro is a single pod containing both hi & Low beams. The Camaro is made at an angle. It may correspond with the Vette better, you will have to look at both to see which suits it best.

This style of light is self contained in its pod. This means that the pod contains all adjustments and even a level built in. All you have to do is bolt it in and wire in the plug. Another advantage is that they are very small and may blend better with the front of the vette.

I used the low beam from a GP to make running lights in my Jeep Cherokee winch bumper. Two screws and a wire in and I was ready to adjust the lights. JIM :smash:

79MikeVette. My .02 your car looks great just the way it is. Your pop-up lights are the nicest part of that. I can't count the amount of molded over front ends that the body work was flawed or just looked bad. Hopefully yours comes out great and makes you happy, that's all that matters. But take a look at one of those conversions in person before you start ripping out or molding over those pop-up headlights. Again just my .02, good luck.

I figured out that the head lights and bezals came from a 75 or 76 Caprice.

He bought the car with them on. I believe they came off of a mid 70's Caprice or something. There was a thread about it a while back. What is sad is that I can remember all of this.

Sorry - I missed this thread... The setup is not a kit.. When I bought the car - it came already with this setup.. The Headlights are H1 and H2 standard rectangular headlights (available at any auto parts store). The bezel is very likely off a 76 Caprice (not 100% sure)
