Converting to Tilt
I am going to convert my 1970 from non-tilt steering column to a tilt - tele. What am I in for. Is it a simple plug and go or are there components that will not mesh with the tilt column? It originally came from SoCalVETTES. Still in the box with components.

If it is an OEM tilt/tele column you don't have to do anything except turn the two ignition switch plugs 180 degrees to plug in. Tilt columns use a different ignition switch and turn signal switch but the wiring is the same. Just need to flip those two connectors. A different horn button too. You will love the change.

To add to the above, if it's an OE unit out of a 69-76, you might want to look it over carefully to ensure it's been serviced/rebuilt internally.
Tempting as it might be as I age - I've also learned to NOT use the steering wheel for 'leverage' when getting in and out.
