Setting Idle Timing and Mixture
Which is first?
Blueprint says 10° to 16° initial timing, how to tell what is the best setting?
Holley says adjust the idle mixture for the highest vacuum which I did on the old motor but I'll check it again on the new one.

You have the Progression ignition distributor yes? That will definitely have a different setup sequence than a normal HEI, but if I had to bet I’d say 16 will give you a much stronger vacuum reading, and that’s what I’d go with.
