Default Clutch vibration

This past winter I replaced the Centerforce clutch in my '79 with a McLeod Super Street Pro and now I have a vibration. I have contacted McLeod, but the clutch I installed was purchased a few years ago and I didn't get around to installing it until recently, and while I haven't heard from them yet, I doubt if warranty is going to be an option. I am probably going to simply buy a new clutch and change it again, and if that's the case, I'm pretty sure I won't go with McLeod again. I have run a number of Centerforce clutches over the years with excellent results so I may just go back to that. However I am interested in what clutches are popular with the guys on this forum. Any recommendations?

Same here. McLeod Street Pro chattering at low load in heavy traffic or parking lot cruising. I tried roughing up the PP and FW with a fresh new disk but the chattering came right back. Must be a bad choice for my driving style.

I'm going to a LUK as I have had good luck with LUK.

I installed a new McLeod street pro as part of a complete engine, transmission overhaul last year. Immediately had issues with chatter & grabbing.

A mechanic friend told me to get a complete set from oreillys - So i bought a stock oreillys kit that came with everything and also a new flywheel. The only thing i didn’t use was the throwout bearing. Bought a true oillight bearing.

I was shocked at how smooth this clutch is. Highly recommend!!!

is the vibration when engaging or spinning mass? I must have been lucky as my Mcleod is ok still with about 20,000 miles.
i do remember needing to clean the pressure plate 12x to remove oils..
not sure if pro street though?
there is a Lars post i cannot find regarding the pull off accuracy of clutches to verify disengagement

McLeod, recommends balancing the assembly. Is it possible that your clutch isn’t broke in yet. They recommend 1200-1500 clutch cycles prior to driving at wide open throttle.

I have a Mcleod clutch in my car and it's always been smooth as silk. I can't remember the part number of the kit I bought but I'll go through my papers and see if I can find it.

Edit: I found the clutch kit I put in, it is a Super Street Pro MCL 75221

That's the same kit I used. It's not chattering. It's vibrating. It appears to be correlated with engine rpm, not vehicle speed, and it's worse with the clutch engaged. I'm leaning toward the problem being with the shop that surfaced my flywheel. I did not think to check it for runout when I installed it, but I think that may be the most likely source of the problem. However, considering how much work is involved in changing the clutch, I'm probably just going to replace everything again when I'm in there.
How much horsepower are you running through that clutch and how well is it holding?
