Default Upgraded AC?

I got tired of the stock AC running out after a few months of non-use.
It was ok when it worked properly.
I'm going to Hot Aug Nites and there will be hot temps and traffic!
Running RRs made a big difference, I'm thinking about an oil cooler. See my post.
What aftermarket products work?
I'm willing to spend the money to do this right.
I have the original condenser, it is a joke!
Who has something that works?
Where did you get it and how much did it cost.
TIA

You have a 74. That's a VIR System if it's still stock.
I ran a thread a couple years ago. 73-E77 Air-Con upgrade.
I suck at posting links on my phone. But with the name you should be able to find it.
Complete instructions on how to upgrade this system. I'm in Australia. You only think it's hot over there. Trust me my Air-Con blows really cold.

Everything except crappy condenser is gone.
I want to upgrade the whole system.

Well, if you have a VIR Eliminator kit, a Sanden compressor, a proper temp switch on the evaporator as opposed to a pressure switch that is supplied with those Eliminator kits. And a C4 blower motor. Then you just need a parallel flow condenser as outlined in my thread.
And of course you upgraded every O ring in the system to the green ones?
And of course leak test your system.
questions ? PM Me.
Electric fans? = Trienary switch
Factory fan? Lose the low pressure switch in favour of a high/low switch.
My car gets so cold on a hundred degree day I have to mix in heat.
This can be done on the budget.

When I rebuilt my 73 I replaced everything under the hood.
i bought a kit from https://nostalgicac.com/products

back then they offered a kit for C3 corvettes. It had a parallel flow condenser, a Sanden 508 V-belt double groove compressor and brackets, and a hose kit. The hose kit had several fittings and hoses that you cut to fit and crimp together. I did end up ordering some different fittings to complete my install. On addition I bought the evaporator and accumulator made for a 1978-82 to replace the VIR system.
i charged the system with R134 and been happy ever since. I do have to add a can of Freon once in a while in the spring after a long winter nap

I removed the stock recovery bottle so I had more room to work inside the fender well. Someday I may make some new hoses so I can reinstall the factory bottle

I have the C4 fan, but I believe I threw out everything except the POS condenser.
Not sure what else I have?
There was a Co that ran their car up the mtn w/trick AC products.
I remember they had some good stuff.
I'm 72 w/bad back!
Leaning over the engine is very hard on me.
The compressor looks like a good start!

TIA
