I thought I saw a post that mentioned the option of getting a speedometer converted to 140 mph. I have the notorious 1980 with 85 mph and now that I have restored with a 425 hp motor, etc it really deserves a little more range. If you know where I can get this done let me know. It should be cheaper than the outrageously priced 140 mph replacement available at Ecklers.

REDLINE GAUGE and CLOCK REPAIR (no web site)
1-800-375-2310, attn: JOHN
This company will send you a complete 140mph Speedo with installation directions, which he also explained to me over the phone, and doesn't sound bad at all.
One major advantage is they will send you a new one within a week, and wait for you to install it, (within 10 days, no core charge) to send yours, NO DOWN TIME!!!!

I got this from a post a couple of weeks ago...
Call John at Redline - 800/375-2310. I paid $56.50 w/exchange.
I don't know if Redline has a website or an email address, but I do know that several people have used Redline for their conversion and have been very pleased with the price and service.

Steve, I thought I'd leave that part up to John :yesnod:
BTW John was using NOS GM 140mph faces and only swapped them out and re-calibrated your speedo. jim
