Default how to test my map sensor
my 1982 corvette crossfire throws a check engine light when i de-accelerate, goes off when i hit the throttle again, could it be the map sensor, i did remove the smog pump and lines but the plugins are still there, could that be the problem?

A hand vacuum pump and a scanner.
Being that you have a check engine light coming on constantly, you should be able to pull code.
