Does anyone else find it funny... (dash lights)
Is it just me or is the fact that a 71 dash has no less than 12 :eek: light bulbs humorous... I stopped counted at 12 and decided to just buy a case of 'em.. :D (oh and the 12 doesn't even count the courtsey lights or anything right of the tachometer. These are just for the guage cluster...
I guess Chevy had a good deal with GE..

Monkeywrench, yesterday I had the pleasure of trying to fix a bad speaker and taking the clock out to be repaired and was amazed at the amount of lights that aren't attached to anything at all. Even during the resto I don't remember that many bulbs.. I thought I was missing a christmas strand

My '70 probably has the same quantity. I was smart enough to replace all of them while I had the dash out during the interior restoration. :cheers:

Sean, I was just looking at your final configuration on your web site and noticed you are putting the AC back in.. Why? we don't need that in Florida :lol: :lol: :lol:

You'd think with all those lights, the lighting would be better. :lol:
The light bulb sockets have a bad habit of pulling off the wires when you are taking the dash out too...what a pain. :smash:

Just to keep from being tempted to put an old bulb back in when mine goes together, I bought the complete bulb set. It includes every bulb in and out except the headlights. I think it was like $29. and had 44 bulbs in it. :crazy:

Don't remind me, I need to remove the 8 for the speedo and tach as 6 of them are out. And no, it isn't one in each, it is 2 in the bouncing tach.
