Default Making Z06 wheels fit ??

What will need to be done to get the 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 wheels to fit ?? I'd like to keep the tires from not sticking out as much as possible...

Sometime down the road I'd like to do this....

chome repos you can get in 17x8.5 and up, so they will fit with little problem. I don't want chome, I want the stock finish...

I think the thing to do is call the guys that do the 17 x 8.5 or 17 x 9.5 Z06 rims aftermarket and ask what the backspacing is to be sure. Then do the math to find how large an adapter you will need to bring this back to close to 4 inch backspacing and then go to VBP and get your adapter.

That should get you where you need to be.

The guys that have the C4 rims on are using 2.5 inch adapters.

I have been wanting to do this also but need more green to consider it. Also if you go with an aftermarket 17 inch set-up that gives you the 4 inch backspace, then you dont need to fork out the extra do ray me for the adapters.

I have got to get the latest Vette issue if it shows a car with the set-up!!!!!!!!!! I have a subscription renewed in December and still havent seen an issue!!!!

Does anyone know what month issue it is that shows the red C3 with the Z06 rims?

Brent...

You can call Nate @ Extreme Motorsports, a Forum vendor, and he can hook you up with what will be needed to mount them. ;)

What are you considering "stock finish"
The silver painted or polished??
The OEM finish... the dull gun metal grey or whatever it's considered.

You won't find OEM wheels in either finish in the sizes you want
The size I want is 17x9.5 for the front and 18x10.5 rear which I can find easily as that's the OEM size and finish...

Yeah...you're absolutely correct. I started lettin' my brain get behind my fingers thinking about the five spoke repro sizes while reading some of the responses instead of the Z06 wheels that you were asking about. You posted a reply while I was straightening out my snafu

Hope you're able to get them mounted and I sure hope you post some pics of your ride when finished too.

I started checking around for Repos and I found a couple places that have "silver" in 17x8.5 and 18x9.5 which would be a lot easier to mount up. I'm going to email Nate and see if he can get those or can recommend a place.

The stock OEM wheels would be cheaper, but probably cost me more in the long run with all the mods to get them to fit...

There are alot of guys selling OEM Z06 rims in the C5 for sales section every now and then. Id put your request out there and see what comes up.

Might even get a deal.

yea, I've seen great deals there and on ebay as well... That's why I'm wondering what it'll take to fit them on my car. I know of people running a 9.5" wide wheel, but not a 10.5" with nearly an 8" backspacing.
